Wrenches
Every collet nut needs a specific wrench interface to reach full, even torque – using the wrong wrench style is how nuts get rounded off, under-tightened, or damaged beyond re-use. HS Spindles stocks four wrench families: castle wrenches for mini-nuts (single pieces and 3, 4, and 5-piece sets), E-style wrenches for slotted nuts (ER16 through ER50, single and 6-piece sets), hook spanner wrenches (ER25 through ER50, single and 4-piece sets), and open wrenches for flat-sided nuts (a 19mm single and a 3-piece set). The wrench style has to match the nut style – a castle wrench won’t properly engage an E-style slotted nut, and a hook spanner won’t seat on a mini-nut’s flats.
